If false acusations of violence were met with jailtime, would it cut down on them?

I'm not talking ';not guilty';, I'm talking ';innocent.'; (As in, video cameras watching you all the time like in 1984 or something.)

Do you think jailtime would cut down on the amount of women (and possibly men) who falsely accuse? If false acusations of violence were met with jailtime, would it cut down on them?
If you are saying if someone is falsely accused, should the accuser get jail time, that might make people think twice before going there.

However in reality it probably will never happen because the jails are overfull now.

Good question! If false acusations of violence were met with jailtime, would it cut down on them?
Yes, it would but it would STILL not STOP the problem.

Being both a feminist and a woman who has defended MEN who were falsely accused, I find that there is a ';profile'; of women who falsely accuse men of rape or abuse or abuse of kids.

There is a type of woman who creates delusions in defense of her own choices and a type of woman who views the legal system as just one more tool for retaliation.

More respect for the law and help for mental illness are the real cures for this problem.

By the way, jail time might not help the kind of woman who is delusional.
Yes I think it would. if you know for sure the person is innocent and you still accuse them of the crime. then the one lying should get the same punishment that the one wrongly accused would get. after all you are destroying their life. taking away their freedom when you know it's a lie. they need to get to the bottom of this it seems to happen a lot.

Then that would help filter out the real victims of crime. and help protect the innocent ones. God Bless
something either fines or something should be givin out to those who created the drama in the first place!
i think u go free cuz u didnt do anything worng so u cant be their for no reason :D
I think so, for sure. I'd support it.
