ok, DNA IS NOT A PROTEIN, i agree with teh phd person, i am 16 years old and my sources are from years of reading, very simple outline- DNA IS A MADE UP OF NUCLEOTIDES whose components are a nitrogenous base a deoxyribose sugar and a phosphate group. NONE of those are proteins. and restriction enzymes cuz at primers set are certain areas on the DNA chain
Wow, people, basic biology here......DNA is not protein. It is what makes protein!!!!! Does anyone here even have high school biology? The man with the PhD in Genetics is right. They cut DNA at specific sites. It recognizes genetic sequences at specific sites not amino acids (which make proteins).
